Shifting within my heart has become evident over the course of the past month.
This whole thing about “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength(or Glory to Glory),till each appears before God in Zion.” (Psalms 84:5-7)
This scripture is increasing in my life and over the past month has been what urges me to press in.
Over a year ago it all started. I wrote this in the time and I wanted to give you the chance to read it if you haven’t already just so you can know where I am coming from now so here is the link for that

Anyways, our whole lives are a journey. We are moving forward and being drawn towards something. Many of us will equate this “drawing force” with God, some may not share that belief. Either way we are drawn to live for something. Some people live to pay bills, some live to be married, some live for fame. Either way we are all being drawn by something, towards something and we, within our human nature, pursue such things back in response to that so called “drawing force”
We often,in our nature, go to extreme lengths to achieve or capture or claim such magnetic attractions.
Well, over the years I have discovered that in the course of my life I have been drawn by a superior love, a genuine and unhindered force. The very force of, what I am convinced, is the sole reason that this existence, well….EXIST!
I have been let down, I have been hurt, I have been wounded. The thing is that I could have choose to regard those instances as proof that this “drawing force” was only out to harm or hurt me, but instead I let the sheer reminder that amidst all the heartache, turmoil, depravity, and sadness, there has always been times of Joy.
This so called “drawing force” is a good God!
I am sorry to those of you who may read this and not believe in God and to those of you who choose to accept the victim mentality in your lives instead of pressing in the grace God has been offering you.
The work of Jesus on the cross destroyed the dividing wall of hostility. We have victory from the death!
So, if we have victory from death, then why are some of you so afraid of living?
Huh?!?! Thats interesting. Jesus conquered death yet so many people are afraid of living, thus forcing yourselves in a life further filled with worry, concern, debt, and depression.
Well, not me.
The verses I initially started with are about trials and perseverance!
Pressing into life because of the grace of God and the work of HIS son!
Lets get deep into the eternal perspective of heaven the rejoice in the fact that all our lives are is an opportunity to glorify God and enjoy the inheritance we have access to even now, as sons and daughters!
I can testify to the goodness of God! As my life is a journey, I have been to many countries, seen many miracles, seen many people loved, had many needs met, because God is drawing me. Its crazy that God is so omniscient that his sole purpose for taking me to the places I have been was to show me how much he loved me, yet in that as well, he wanted to take me for the sole purpose of those that I would meet, would know the love he has for them as well. Yes, I am aware that’s two “sole purposes”,but again I say, HE IS OMNISCIENT!
In all this, I urge you to know he conquered death so don’t be afraid to live! Don’t project the emotions you felt/feel in hard times unto the character of God, that’s not wise on your part. That’s like a little kid skinning their knee and saying for the rest of their life that their dad only wants to skin the child’s knee, we can all admit that’s an absurd assumption.
